VILLA IMMA is a lovely two-storey villa in a hamlet of the municipality of Massa Lubrense. It’s about 200 square meters in size and can accommodate up to 10 people. The villa has a parking area, an above ground pool, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, a panoramic outdoor terrace, a garden with children's play area, a gazebo, barbecue, sun deck and, above all, a priceless view of Capri.
At the end of the Sorrento Peninsula which stretches out towards the island of Capri, with the gulfs of Naples and Salerno on either side, is the town of Massa Lubrense and specifically Santa Maria Annunziata. This small village, where Villa Imma is located, is rich in history, myths and traditions, and is crossed by a network of over 100 km of paths and inspiring streets. Walking along these paths, among the enchanting landscape, you’ll encounter the typical lemon groves and olive groves and will be captivated by the scents of the Mediterranean.
In nearby Sant’Agata Sui Due Golfi, about 2 km away, or in the municipality of Massa Lubrense, about 4 km away, you’ll find small restaurants, small shops, bars and the supermarket. A few hundred metres away, you’ll find the former house of Gioacchino Murat (brother-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte) who led the French in the battle for Capri against the English, as well as a Saracen tower, Turbolo Tower, with a panoramic terrace with benches, flower beds, and a renowned typical restaurant which, in summer especially, makes the square come alive. It’s a spectacular viewpoint for admiring Capri and the Massese coast.
The nearest beach is Marina di Puolo, about 4 km away.
A car is essential for your stay at Villa Imma. You’ll be able to park for free at the villa. Access to the villa is via a 100-metre private driveway. The driveway has a maximum width of 2.10 meters so a medium-sized car is recommended.
There are no steps between the parking area and the villa.
THE ABOVE-GROUND POOL measures 5 x 3 m, with a depth of 1.20 m, and sits in a lush garden. It’s available from the end of May until the end of September and is equipped with deck chairs and an outdoor shower.
THE GARDEN is a 3,500 m2 lemon grove with many other species of fruit trees. You’ll be enchanted by the scent of the first spring flowers, the fruits, the fresh dew and by the colours. It’s like being in one of the earth’s lungs, in an Eden. Part of the garden is protected from the sun by a bamboo trellis. Access is from the terrace.
THE PATIO occupies the full width of the villa’s roof, has a charming sea view, and is equipped with deckchairs.
THE TERRACE is equipped with tables and chairs, a swing, a barbecue and a pizza oven, a play area for children, and is surrounded by fruit trees and lawns for sunbathing.
GROUND FLOOR
THE KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM is furnished in a rustic style. It contains a stove with four gas burners, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher, a dining table for six people, and a washing machine. It also has a window overlooking the garden. The living room contains a sofa, a stone fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. Access is from the courtyard and the main entrance door of the villa.
UPPER FLOOR (access via about 16 steps from the courtyard)
THE LIVING ROOM AREA has a double sofa bed and a window overlooking the garden.
THE FIRST BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE BATHROOM contains a double bed and is fitted with air conditioning/heating. From here, a French window opens onto a large balcony overlooking the garden. The bathroom contains a sink, toilet, shower, and a hairdryer. You get to the bedroom from the living room.
THE SECOND BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE BATHROOM contains a double bed and a single bed and is fitted with air conditioning/heating. From here, a French window opens onto a large balcony overlooking the garden. The bathroom contains a sink, toilet, shower, and a hairdryer. You get to the bedroom from the living room.
THE THIRD BEDROOM contains three single beds and features a large window overlooking the balcony overlooking the garden. The bedroom is fitted with air conditioning and heating. You get to the bedroom from the living room.
THE THIRD BATHROOM is next to the third bedroom and contains a sink, bidet, toilet, and a bath with shower. You access the bathroom from the corridor.
Important things to know
- Tourist Tax: 2,00 Euros per person per day for the first 5 nights, from 1st April until 31st October. Children under the age of 18 are exempt from this tax.
- For arrivals after 20:00 an additional cost, to be paid at the arrival, of 50,00 Euros will be applied.
- Heating not included. Will be charged in base of consumption on site.
- Electricity not included. Will be charged in base of consumption on site.
- Internet not included. Will be charged a fee of 20,00 Euros per week.

We really liked the garden and the exterior facilities. In the house the private section is really cozy and comfortable, the living room-kitchen area is comfortable but it could be even better with some rearrangement.

We agree that the electricity for ecology reasons is better to be paid separely, but its price was too high. Also the living room area could be a bit more elegant and contemporary in my opinion, it did not match the rest of the house in terms of decoration. Last but not least, there is a giant sculture of Jesus in the garden which is creepy, but ok, it did not bother us, but I think it would bother a lot of non-christian people.
