Villa Bellavista is a charming historic residence perched among lemon groves and terraced vineyards in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in a truly dramatic position sheer above the sea. From here, your gaze embraces the blue waters of Amalfi and rests directly in front of the famous natural arch known as the “Arch of Love”, iconic for having been featured for years in advertisements for Baci Perugina chocolates.

A Place with an Ancient Soul

The property was built in the early 18th century, following a style that was widespread at the time, characterized by barrel vaults. Originally, it served as a panoramic watchtower nestled among lemon terraces. In 1875, after the nearby Church of Lone was abandoned, the tower was transformed into a Sacred Chapel to house the Madonna of Lone until the early 1900s. During that time, the first decorative frescoes were painted on the vaulted ceilings, still visible today.

In the early 1920s, the chapel was converted into a private residence. In 2010, major restoration works were carried out by the current owner: the historic “tower,” with its impressive 160 cm thick wall, was transformed into a luxurious bathroom while preserving the original decorative elements. Adjacent to it is a frescoed bedroom, enhanced by the original painting of the Madonna that once stood in the old chapel.

Fully renovated in 2019, Villa Bellavista is now a luxury villa accommodating up to 10 guests, perfect for those seeking a holiday immersed in history, comfort, and nature.

The villa is accessed via 104 comfortable steps from the coastal road.

The villa offers a unique experience thanks to its magnificent 200 sqm lemon garden/solarium, where citrus scents and sea breezes accompany every moment of the day. The outdoor spaces are designed for relaxation and convivial living:

• Heated mini Jacuzzi pool (for 7/8 people) with hydromassage and chromotherapy (open from May 1st to October 15th)
• Fully equipped GYM area: equipment use included in the price
• Solarium with sun loungers
• Outdoor lounge and seating area
• Living area with a small kitchenette

All to be enjoyed in peace and tranquility, with a view suspended between sky and sea. Small events can also be organized (upon request, not included in the price).

The interiors blend charm and authenticity. Some bedrooms feature frescoed ceilings and traditional ceramic floors, complemented by antique furnishings and soft tones that enhance the brightness of the spaces. The spacious living room opens onto a terrace, allowing natural light and sea breezes to flow in. Above the living area, there is a fully equipped and decorated mezzanine kitchen.

There is also a guest bathroom equipped with sink, toilet, washing machine, and dryer.
